The Story Line
The story in the second class scheme is about the final part of the transformation of the Wicked Wizard. In first class, the Wizard visited 16 counties as he travelled the length and breadth of Ireland. Now, in second class, he travels to the remaining sixteen, ensuring that the children have been introduced to all 32 counties on the island of Ireland. The King of Music Land, yet again talks to the children in second class and he explains to the children that the transformation of the Wicked Wizard is working and that he can't wait to see the final result.
The children will be very interested in finding out from week to week where the Wizard is and how things are going. The children need to do the tasks in each lesson before the story can develop. This keeps the children motivated. As in other classes, by the end of the 20 lessons, the children have covered all the music elements that they need to cover and will have had great fun doing it.
Students will also have the opportunity, as they do in every class, to learn some interesting songs, do a little bit of composing of their own and practise performing for others.
