Horschatz One Plus adopts a three-pronged approach to language acquisition:- Students listen to words in a communicative context- Students then listen to words in isolation (revision unit)- All key words are arranged thematically into units at the back of the book (vocabulary).
This book prepares students for the aural part of the examination, while also giving them a wealth of vocabulary. After every four units, there is a revision section. Fourteen pages of thematically arranged vocabulary are included at the back. Constant repition builds up the student's knowledge, ensuring a wealth of everyday words and phrases, essential for the Junior Certificate exam and providing a solid basis for embarking on the Leaving Certificate course.
