Draiocht 3 is an Irish text book published by Gill and Macmillan
Draiocht 3 follows on from Draiocht 1 to complete the Junior Certificate course for Higher level.
It takes a step-by-step approach to the course.
Mirrors the exam format as accurately as possible.
Chapters 1 to 7 contain 4 detailed comprehensions each, and also deal with the following:
formal and informal letters
conversation pieces interviews
essays newspaper articles debates
Chapters 8 to 11 contain a selection of poetry and prose, with sample exam answers for Paper 2
Listening exercises are presented at the end of chapters 1 to 7.
The accompanying aural material follows exam style by repeating each passage either 2 or 3 times where appropriate, so the aural exam sections A, B, C and D are covered in every chapter of the book.
There is also a Teacher’s Book containing tapescripts and solutions to both aural and written exercises.
